AFSA lobbyist to speak at Kirtland Jan. 24

Chief Master Sgt. (ret) James Lokovic, vice chairman for the Air Force Sergeant Association's International Legislation Committee, will provide a one-hour briefing at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Wing Presentation Center .

His focus will include the recent changes made to benefits for Total Force Airmen and how benefits are affected by U.S. Congress. Other specific topics reviewed will be budget climate, quality of life, and how to use your benefits.

Lokovic, who served in the Air Force for 25 years, is an avid lobbyist whose past credentials include revamping how AFSA lobbies and testifies before U.S. Congress, helping create the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill, and aiding with the development of the TRICARE for Life program.
