Team Kirtland's community support coordinator was recognized with an employee of the quarter award by the New Mexico Federal Executive Board.

Teresa Reinhard was selected for the honor based on "exceeding all expectations" while in direct support of the 23,000 military and civilian employees who work at Kirtland.

"It was a real honor to be recognized," Reinhart said. "I love my job, which is to enhance resilience for our Airman, both active duty and civilian, and their families."

The NMFEB employee of the quarter awards were established to honor federal employees who exceed supervisor or co-workers expectations, persevere to get the job done, make contributions that have enhanced the organization's mission accomplishment, teamwork or public image, demonstrate a commitment to excellence by responsive public service, continuous improvement, and stewardship of resources, and show personal initiative, creativity and professionalism.

According to the award announcement, Reinhard was recognized for her ability to identify and address the needs of wounded, ill and injured personnel. She established a working group to ensure experts in multiple fields worked together to meet the needs of the service embers in a "comprehensive, holistic approach."

She was also recognized for promoting the well-being and resiliency of Team Kirtland members through Wingman Day, and by training facilitators and key leaders.

Reinhard said the job is a team effort with base leadership and the Wingman Plus team members, who make up the base's helping agencies.

"Without their support and commitment to making a difference for our base personnel, I would not be able to succeed. It truly is a collaborative process and I thank everyone for their role in making our base more resilient," she said.
