Kirtland's helping agencies, known as Wingman Plus, is sponsoring a major Wellness Expo March 21 at the Youth Center.

About 70 tables will be set up to provide information on the various help available to individuals. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"We have a wealth of great agencies, resources and activities at Kirtland and in the local Albuquerque community, and we want to familiarize people on base about them," said Teresa Reinhard, community support coordinator. "We want to educate people about everything that is available that can help promote mental, social, physical and spiritual wellness."

In addition to the information tables, there will be several demonstrations, including yoga, ballroom dance, Zumba, folkloric dancing, essential oils talk, relaxation techniques and more. A complete schedule will be released once it has been finalized.

The event is free and open to anyone with base access. There will be several prize drawings, including an overnight stay for two at the Hyatt Tamaya Resort & Spa and a gift card valued at $250 for services and food at the resort, a Kindle Fire e-reader, a $250 gift card from Force Support Services, and many more prizes. There will be a kid friendly zone will be set up for parents who plan to attend with their children, and there will be free food and beverages while supplies last.

Supervisors are encouraged to allow military and civilian employees to attend.

"Even if you can drop in for just 20 minutes or come during your lunch hour, there will be an opportunity to learn about all the great services and programs available to enhance well-being," Reinhard said.
