Base's Motorcycle Safety Day set for April 25 Published April 17, 2014 By 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The 58th Special Operations Wing is hosting its annual spring Motorcycle Safety Day April 25 in the old Zia housing area. The event begins at 8 a.m., with various activities scheduled throughout the day. Motorcycle riders with approved Motorcycle Safety Foundation certification will participate in MSF exercises such as cornering, quick stops, space maneuvers and swerve drills. Qualified MSF instructors will be on hand to guide riders and offer instruction and information. For a complete schedule of events, click here. All participants are required to wear approved personal protective equipment, which includes full-fingered gloves, over-the-ankle footwear, eye protection and a Department of Transportation-approved helmet.
