Summer STEM camp for students from Kirtland families Published May 12, 2014 By 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Air Force Research Laboratory La Luz Academy is accepting applications for its science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, camp for students from Kirtland families. Students who will be going into 5th or 6th grade in the 2014-15 school year, will spend the week exploring hands-on activities in physics, chemistry, technology, engineering, mathematics operations and applications, and other STEM careers. Camp will be in session from June 2-6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the AFRL La Luz Academy in Building 1900 inside the Maxwell gate.
