September is when the weather starts to ease into a cooler temperature, crockpot recipes take center stage with queso dip and sports fans don their favorite team jerseys to gear up for another fun football season

For die-hard pigskin fans and those who simply want to stay connected with family and friends, here is an official Football Frenzy warning: The Mountain View Club will host weekly Thursday night football games immediately following "Knerds Who Know," the weekly rounds of brain-teasing trivia in the lounge.

This year's "Football Frenzy" festivities around Kirtland will not disappoint even the most dedicated Football fan. Every Thursday night at the Mountain View Club, football games are shown during and after the weekly trivia game, "Knerds Who Know."

Hosted by the 377th Force Support Squadron, trivia night incorporates friendly competition with good food and drinks.

"The Mountain View Club's MVP Lounge is a fantastic place to watch the football game with friends because there are multiple screens and multiple games being shown," said Club caterer Brandy Prendes. "It's also great because there are food and drink specials like $5 pitchers and $7 all-you-can-eat 'end zone munchies'."

End Zone Munchies is a buffet style meal offering brisket sandwiches, chips, hot dogs, and lots of other 'munchies' that vary from week to week.

As an added bonus to club members, each visit to the event means an entry into the Air Force giveaway of trips to three NFL regular season games and a trip to the Super Bowl. Additionally, members can enter into a drawing for two 2015 Chevy Silverado trucks, a trip for four to Disneyland and 10 $500 cash prizes.

The season's events will culminate in a Super Bowl party with over 200 people expected to attend. In previous years, a 50" flat screen TV has been given away as well as two-night hotel stays and other prizes.
