Kirtland's Combined Federal Campaign is officially underway.

The installation goal is to reach out to 100 percent of the base population and raise $350,000 by Nov. 4.

"This week in your areas, you will begin to see your unit representatives,  with a smile on their faces, looking for your kind donations to your favorite charities," said Master Sgt. Bobby Hall, CFC installation officer.

Hall said the push this year is for employees to donate through MyPay, and he expects to see the majority of the contributions being made through the MyPay system.

Kirtland is the largest contributor to the CFC in the local area. Last year, Kirtland workers donated more than $340,000.

The mission of the CFC is to help promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. The CFC is one of the largest annual workplace charity campaigns. Pledges made to the campaign from Federal civilian, postal and military donors help support non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
