The 150th Special Operations Wing of the New Mexico Air National Guard has a new wing commander.

Col. Robert Reyner is took the reins from Col. Clark Highstrete. Highstrete assumed command of the wing last year and served in the position for 18 months, leading the 150th into a new era as it was transformed from a fighter wing to a special operations wing.

The ceremony took place Sept. 13 at the 150th SOW hanger at Kirtland. Brigadier Gen. Andrew Salas, the adjutant general for the New Mexico Guard, presided over the event.

Reyner is the second commander for the 150th since it became a special operations wing.
