Kirtland gears up for annual Wellness Expo

Wingman Plus, a group of Kirtland's helping agencies, is sponsoring its second annual Wellness Expo March 20 at the Mountain View Club.

More than 75 tables will be set up to provide information on the various help available to individuals. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The expo provides an opportunity to earn about great resources available for enhancing health and wellness across the mental, social, physical, and spiritual domain," said Teresa Reinhard, community support coordinator. 

In addition to the information tables, there will be several demonstrations, including meditation yoga, ballroom and folkloric dance, jujitsu, crossfit training and more. A complete schedule will be released once it has been finalized. There will be special area dedicated to women's wellness.

The event is free and open to anyone with base access. There will be several prize drawings, and healthy snacks will be offered while supplies last. Supervisors are encouraged to allow military and civilian employees to attend.

"Even if you can drop in for just 20 minutes or come during your lunch hour, there will be an opportunity to learn about all the great services and programs available to enhance well-being," Reinhard said.
