Kirtland Warrior: Senior Airman Josh Roberts Published Dec. 8, 2015 By Kirtland Public Affairs KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- KIRTLAND WARRIOR Name: Senior Airman Josh Roberts Unit: 58th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Duty Title: Crew chief Hometown: Columbus, Ohio Goals: Roberts would like to complete his CCAF and make staff sergeant. He would like be a first sergeant later in his career because he feels that position is so vital to the Airman. His long term goals are to retire in the Air Force and be in a position where he can help Airmen in need. Accomplishments: Roberts has been stationed at Kirtland since September 2011. He was a debrief personnel and was a cornerstone to the change in that position when the C-130J model aircraft arrived. He was the first to become competent with the Air Cat program that recorded and tracked the C-130J flying data. He then taught the less experienced personnel how to accurately complete this difficult task by creating a step-by-step guide. Roberts has also been on multiple TDYs, promoting the Air Force and its benefits to thousands of civilians stretching from here in New Mexico to Lethbridge, Canada. Roberts also has taken a huge role in promoting unit and squadron morale. He takes advantage of the opportunity to purchase, cook, and cater food for multiple events in the squadron, such as Rodeo competitions, morale burger burns, and sports days. He designed the Lobo AMUs coin and morale t-shirt and received the squadron commander's recognition.
