Name: Senior Airman Geoff Gonzalez

Unit: 898th Munitions Squadron

Duty title:  Weapons maintenance team chief

Hometown:  San Antonio, Texas

Accomplishments: Gonzalez was certified as a weapons maintenance team chief as a senior airman, a rare feat for an enlisted member of his rank.  He was selected for promotion to staff sergeant after first attempt testing. He co-led the 898 MUNS Booster Club, which provides many volunteer opportunities for other Airmen and supports local community events, such as the New Mexico Special Olympics.

Goals: His short term goals include obtaining a bachelor's degree in business management and becoming a professional photographer.  Long term, once he retires from the military, Gonzalez would like to open a bar and grill and/or a rock climbing gym in San Antonio. He'd also aims to become a professional rock climber.
