Learn how to take care of your car at the annual Gear Headz car show 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25 at the Auto Hobby Shop on base.

The Auto Hobby Shop will have do-it-yourself demos during the event.

"The reason we host the car show is so people can see the Auto Hobby Shop and what we are about and that we are here for their use," said shop director Eugene Bustos.

The demos will teach event-goers how to replace front and back brakes on their vehicle. Also, the presentation will include how to perform pre-travel checks for fluid levels, belts and the battery.

This event is open to everyone with base access. Food and drinks will be available for free.

In combination with the car show, there will be a flea market. To have a booth, the cost is $10. There is still space available to enter vehicles into the car show.

The application for joining the car show and running a flea market booth can be found at kirtlandforcesupport.com/auto-hobby-shop. For more information contact Nichole Gurule at 853-3003 or Eugene Bustos at 846-1682.
