The 377th Air Base Wing Inspector General team reaffirmed their commitment to service on July 22, when they were sworn in by Col. Justin Secrest, 377th Air Base Wing and installation commander. Notably, the IG office is the only office on Kirtland Air Force Base that is sworn in by the installation commander.

The Inspector General team serves as an extension of the commander and plays a vital role in mission success by identifying and resolving issues that impact the health and readiness of the wing.

The oath reinforces the team’s commitment to perform their duties without bias or partiality. By accepting the oath, IG personnel pledge to uphold Air Force core values, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure the timely and thorough resolution of complaints to enhance discipline, accountability, and capability across the installation.
