KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Kirtland Chapel hosted its annual Vacation Bible School June 16–20, welcoming children from pre-K to middle school for a week of faith, fun and adventure.
VBS is a free religious education program open to all family members of Team Kirtland.
This year’s theme centered around the state of Alaska, featuring age groups named after native animals like Kodiak Bears, Otters and more.
Over 20 volunteers and 50 children from the Kirtland community came together to make this year's VBS a success.
The kids participated in activities including singing songs, crafts, games, and more. Each activity taught children about the Alaskan wilderness and its animals while highlighting the importance of hope, trust and faith.
