Retiree Appreciation Day to be held at Mountain View Club

KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, New Mexico --  The 2007 Retiree Appreciation Day is Oct. 6 at the Mountain View Club. The event is hosted by the 377th Air Base Wing and will begin with a retirement seminar focusing on reviewing and updating information on benefits, entitlements, policies and services available to the retiree community.

The seminar will also cover information on critical legislative issues. Presentations will be made by the 377th Medical Group, the 377th Mission Support Squadron, 377th Services Squadron, Commissary, Base Exchange, Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office, New Mexico VA Health Care System, New Mexico Veterans Memorial and an Area III USAF Retiree Council representative.

Services Being Provided During the Retiree Appreciation Day: 

This year the 377th Medical Group will provide retirees with cholesterol screening, blood pressure screening, body mass index calculations, osteoporosis screening and breast cancer personal risk assessments from 8 a.m.-noon at the Mountain View Club. All Retiree Appreciation day activities at the club will close at 1 p.m.

The Legal Office will be preparing simple wills and powers of attorney from 8:30-11 a.m. at the club and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Legal Office located in the headquarters, Building 20604.

The Commissary and Base Exchange will have special sales and discounts during the appreciation day weekend.
