Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team to perform at Kirtland AFB

The Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team will perform Aug. 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lamberson Hangar, Building 760.

The 22-member drill team is the traveling contingent of the Air Force Honor Guard based at Bolling AFB, D.C. The team tours worldwide, inspiring awareness among military and civilian audiences through complex precision drill routines.

Throughout the year, the Honor Guard Drill Team performs at hundreds of military installations, civilian community events and schools. As a premier community relations representative, the drill team also spends a substantial amount of time showcasing the Air Force for thousands of visitors to the National Capital.

While in the Albuquerque area, the drill team will also visit convalescing veterans at the Raymond G. Murphy Veterans Medical Center and give thanks and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the men and women there who answered their nation's call.

The Lamberson Hangar event at Kirtland is open to all base members. Airmen who are interested in joining the Honor Guard are welcome to talk with the drill team members immediately following the performance.
