58th SOW announces annual award winners

At a ceremony Feb. 25 in Hangar 1000, the 58th Special Operations Wing announced its 2010 annual award winners.

Senior Airman Ashley Chappell received the 58th SOW Airman of the Year Award for accomplishments as an aircrew flight equipment journeyman.

Tech. Sgt. Richard Pelletier received the 58th SOW Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Award for accomplishments as the wing weapons safety manager.

Master Sgt. Alexis Arturet received the 58th SOW Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Award for accomplishments as the support section flight chief.

Capt. Kyle Bailey received the 58th SOW Company Grade Officer of the Year award for accomplishments as the officer in charge of the 550th Aircraft Maintenance Unit.

Maj. Caleb Nimmo received the 58th SOW Field Grade Officer of the Year award for accomplishments as an operations officer in Afghanistan.

Master Sgt. Leslie Jackson received the 58th SOW First Sergeant of the Year award for accomplishments as the first sergeant for the 58th Maintenance Operations Squadron.

Staff Sgt. Aaron Nelson received the Honor Guard Member of the Year Award for accomplishments as a member of the Kirtland Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Tech. Sgt. Mitchell Melendez received the Volunteer of the Year Award for efforts while the chief of student flight with the 71st Special Operations Squadron.

Richard Loux received the Category I Civilian of the Year Award for accomplishments as an Aircraft Mechanic with the 58th Maintenance Squadron.

Hilda Quinones received the Category II Civilian of the Year Award for accomplishments as a unit program manager with the 23rd Flying Training Squadron, Fort Rucker, Ala.

Alan Roos received the Category IV Civilian of the Year Award for accomplishments as the Air Force engineering and technical services technical expert advisor on integrated avionics systems for the 58th Maintenance Squadron.

Tiffany Mitton received the Joan Orr Award for accomplishments as the key spouse for the 58th Maintenance Squadron.
