Community Assessment Survey needs spouses to participate Published March 25, 2011 By Stefan T. Bocchino 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Kirtland Air Force Base, NM -- The Integrated Delivery System (Wingman Plus) 2011 Community Assessment Survey of service members, spouses, and civilians has been extended to April 3. According to the Office of the Air Force Community Assessment Survey the survey is the best way for Air Force community members to make their opinions and needs known. Air Force community members worldwide were randomly selected to participate. A notification letter with a link to the survey was sent to selectees. Organizers say participation is crucial to the success of the project. Spouses are particularly encouraged to take the survey. "Kirtland Air Force Base's survey return rate has been higher than the Air Force average, but we still encourage everyone who receives a survey to complete it," said Molly Hayes, of Airman and Family Services. "The more information we receive, the more we'll have to use when developing new and better programs for the Kirtland AFB community. The survey does take 30 to 45 minutes to complete, and some questions may seem too personal. It is all right to skip questions you do not want to answer. The survey will still be valid and recorded. If you've put off answering the survey, please take some time to help shape the future community at Kirtland AFB." While participation in the survey is both voluntary and anonymous, according to organizers, it is important to help build programs that help all Airman and their families. The information collected will help IDS teams make community-wide program planning and resource-allocation decisions, which will ultimately enhance the quality-of-life for Airmen and their families.
