The following ICD applies to all KAFB units: 2. Inclement weather is approaching Kirtland AFB from the North. High-winds with flurries advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service. High winds are expected for Kirtland AFB from 01 Dec/0600 - 01 Dec/2300L. Winds are expected to reach up to 60mph after 1200L. During the day, temperatures will range between 32°F and 50°F. On 2 Dec/0100L, temperatures will reach the freezing point. Wind chill temperature is expected to reach 20°F. 3. Wear proper PPE in layers to protect from frostbite. 4. Advisory to base populace: Secure all loose exterior Christmas signs, decorations, ornaments, trash cans, tables, chairs, grills, etc. NLT 1000L. 5. Loading of aircraft with material and equipment: Work within prescribed safe wind conditions (AFOSH 91-100). Do not conduct loading operations when winds exceed safe limits of equipment.
