Team Kirtland's second 2012 job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Mountain View Club. It's open to active-duty Airmen, retired military, guardsmen, reservists, Department of Defense civilians and their dependents.

"Anyone who has access to the base is welcome to attend," said Teresa Reinhard, Airman and Family Readiness Center community readiness consultant.

"More than 500 job seekers showed up at previous job fairs, with average attendance usually between 300 and 350," said Reinhard.

Local, regional and national employers present will include Farm Bureau Financial Services, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Verizon Wireless and 34 other companies.

"I introduced myself at the Heroes Hiring Heroes and Veteran's Job Fair, and invited those employers to take part in our job fair," said Reinhard. "We try to get a wide range of employers, from retail businesses to engineering companies."

The job fair will have a room set aside to allow employers to interview job seekers on the spot. The A&FRC will offer resume advice for federal and private-sector employers.

"It's going to be a hectic day with a lot of energy, but we get to play matchmakers for qualified applicants with a lot of good employers," said Reinhard.
