The Airman and Family Readiness Center will host a Specialized Training of Military Parents workshop at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 23 and 24 at the Consolidated Support Building.

"STOMP provides military parents with individual assistance and information about parents' rights and responsibilities in achieving special education services for their children whether located in the U.S. or overseas," said Shawmarie Caudillo, A&FRC. "STOMP can help parents with special needs better understand basic education rights, wills, guardianships and trusts."

Established in 1985, STOMP has been recognized as the premiere resource for families within the military who have family members with disabilities and other special education/medical issues, said Caudillo. She added that one in 10 military children have special educational or healthcare needs.
