The Leadership Pathways program is an opportunity for Team Kirtland to increase knowledge, grow, and explore what it means to be a more resilient Wingman.

The program includes a series of voluntary classes and programs for professional and personal development, for people at every level of leadership. It is open to all Military members and their families, DoD civilians, and NAF employees. Each course bring points toward awards and achievement milestones.

Teresa Reinhard, Kirtland’s Community Support coordinator, believes that this program is about more than just recognition.

“I believe learning and growing are important endeavors for us personally and professionally throughout our lives and I want to ensure our community can do just that to become our best selves,” Reinhard said.

The ever changing course catalog now includes more than 100 classes and programs. Each class or program is worth a number of points and once a member reaches 200 points in 12 months, they are eligible for recognition. All participants who reach this goal will be awarded a Leadership Pathways Certificate of Accomplishment. Airmen and DoD civilians will also receive a Leadership Pathways Coin. Airmen who are eligible may also be recognized for accomplishing 500 points after the 12 month period.

Reinhard said it’s easy to get started and begin amassing points and knowledge.

“It is Very easy to participate, once you sign up for classes on the website and collect 200 points worth of class or event receipts, let me know. It’s an honor to be a part of this program and help others with their role in creating our Air Force community,” she said. “The increased resiliency, emotional intelligence and leadership skills are the long-term benefits.”
