With winter around the corner, Kirtland could experience weather delays and occasionally even a base closure. The best way to stay up to date on base changes caused by inclement weather is by downloading the Kirtland App to your smart phone.

Through push notifications, the Kirtland App will provide information on weather delays and closures, as well as any gate changes.

Other features of the app include a directory of important phone numbers on base, a PCS section, and a comprehensive airman fitness section. It also offers a calendar of base events, base theater movie listings, a listing of available food locations on base, and much more.

Users are also now able to submit safety hazard reports to the installation safety office through the app. To submit a hazard report, go to the Directory and find wing safety under Helping Agencies and click on the ASAP website link.

Kirtland Public Affairs team manages the app and is continually working to improve its functionality. If you have ideas on how to make the app better, there’s a feedback section to submit suggestions via email. Email addresses are not stored, as stated in the privacy statement.

The app is available for download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
