MDG leadership to host 'Coffee with Commanders' March 23 Published March 22, 2017 By Argen Duncan Nucleus editor KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Leadership at the 377th Medical Group is looking for feedback from patients, and they’re providing coffee and doughnuts in exchange. A Coffee with Commanders “Brewing Success” town hall meeting is set for 9-10 a.m. March 23 in the lobby of the Base Exchange Pharmacy. Patients who receive treatment or prescriptions through the medical group will be able to ask questions and tell the group and squadron commanders about what they like or don’t like. “It’ll be a great forum for people to come out and bring up any issues, concerns or even any praise they might have for us,” said event organizer and Pharmacy Flight Chief Tech. Sgt. Raechael Evans. “We are actively trying to be a more patient-centered facility, so this is a great opportunity for people to come out and bring their concerns with them.” There’s no charge to attend or enjoy a snack while supplies last. Evans and the pharmacy flight commander, Maj. Emily Fletcher, are part of an Air Force Pharmacy trusted care working group and learned about different types of patient outreach other bases were doing to get feedback. They obtained approval to have a town hall meeting just for the pharmacy flight, but the medical group leadership loved the idea and decided to expand the event to cover the whole group. “There’s no set agenda,” Evans said. At the meeting, audience members can speak, the commander whose unit handles the matter will respond and then the next audience member gets a turn. Any subject pertaining to the medical group, from treatment to the pharmacy to billing, is allowed. For more information, contact Evans at 846-3139.
