Nicholas Heck on Nov. 18 as his remains arrive at the Albuquerque International Sunport en route to Cannon Air Force Base for the funeral. This dignified arrival, the primary mission of honor guards, was the first KAFB Honor Guard has performed in many years. Six Honor Guard members act as pallbearers and a seventh renders a salute. Heck was stationed at Cannon before transferring to Yakota Air Base, Japan, where he died.
