Kraig Martin, 58th Maintenance Group, accepts a check for $10,000 from Col. James D. Marsh, 58th Special Operations Wing vice commander, for his money-saving idea. He submitted his plan through the Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st Century Idea Program. He suggested using different vibration measuring equipment in a new test harness for the T-56 engine. His method saves the Air Force about $1,500 for each of the 2,095 engines. ?Hannah Chang, 377th Air Base Wing (Idea Program) point of contact, and Staff Sgt. Jason Macanay, 58th MXG point of contact, were both very helpful,? Mr. Martin said. He said he?s already working on other ideas he plans to submit. U.S. Air Force photo by Todd Berenger
