Tech. Sgt. Tyler George, 377th Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, praises MWD Betyar after his retirement ceremony at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., Aug. 12. Betyar completed four and a half years of active duty service to the U.S. Air Force and some of his accomplishments include a deployment to Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait in 2023, responding to three credible bomb threats, and supporting multiple secret service missions in for the current and past President of the United States. Military Working Dog Betyar and Tech. Sgt. Tyler George, 377th Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, are presented with a certificate by Col. Matthew Foisy, 377 SFG commander, during a retirement ceremony at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., Aug. 12. MWD's are trained to detect explosives and drugs, perform attacking tactics, patrol bases and deploy overseas along with their handlers.
