Gibson Gate construction continues through Aug.

KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, New Mexico -- Construction of vehicle barriers will impact traffic entering and exiting through the Gibson Gate until Aug. 27.

Traffic will be detoured around the construction area.

The construction area is from the gate to Pennsylvania Street. Delays are expected for those entering and exiting the base using the Gibson Gate.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate gates and routes during this time period. The Truman and Eubank gates are recommended as alternatives for base access during the construction phase.
