AFNWCA Change of Command Published July 30, 2007 By Sheila Rupp Nucleus Staff KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, New Mexico -- Lt. Col. Kevin Daul took command of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons and Counterproliferation Agency July 20 in the Rio Grande Conference Center from Lt. Col. Kris Rongone. Colonel Daul was previously assigned to U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb., where he served as the Information Operations, and Command and Control Analysis branch chief. The colonel received his commission in 1989 through the ROTC program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Mass., where he earned a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering. Colonel Daul's first assignment was here at the Phillips Laboratory, Space Re-entry Systems Division, where he served as a satellite survivability engineer. Colonel Daul has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster and many other decorations. Colonel Rongone is moving on to Offutt AFB, Neb., where he will be the chief of Information Operations and Command and Control/Joint Network Operations.
