A three-day course, Introduction to Special Operations, will be held June 25-27 at the 58th Training Squadron Auditorium, Building 957 on the west side of Kirtland AFB. The course will be from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Although the course is mandatory for the 58th Special Operations Wing students who are entering the AFSOC realm, it is also available and free to anyone else on base looking for an extremely interesting presentation of the history and development of special operations. There will be guest speakers who were actually involved and instrumental players in such missions as Operation Eagle Claw (Iran Hostages), Operation Just Cause (Panama), and others. There will be photos and videos, and great stories from the people who lived them.
This is a single three-day class, meaning that one day leads into the next. There will be about 50 seats, available on a first come, first served basis.
