Response to help build programs Published Feb. 18, 2011 By Stefan T. Bocchino 377th Air Base Wing Public Affair Kirtland Air Force Base, NM -- The Integrated Delivery System (Wingman Plus) is sponsoring the 2011 Community Assessment Survey of service members, spouses and civilians. According to the Office of the Air Force Community Assessment Survey, the survey is the best way for Air Force community members to make their opinions and needs known. Air Force community members worldwide will be randomly selected to participate. A notification letter with a link to the survey will be sent to selectees. Organizers said participation is crucial to the success of the project. "The survey will directly impact Kirtland Air Force Base because the results will lead to a specific action plan via the Community Action Information Board and be implemented through the IDS," said Chaplain (Maj.) Chris La Pack, 377th Air Base Wing Senior Protestant Chaplain. "For example, the fact that Wingman Plus now has Facebook/Twitter websites to communicate programs and events to families is a result of the action plan from the last Community Assessment survey." While participation in the survey is both voluntary and anonymous according to organizers, it is important to help build programs that help all Airmen and their families. The information collected will help IDS teams make community-wide program planning and resource-allocation decisions, which will ultimately enhance the quality-of-life, readiness and retention of Airmen.
