AFRL academy is accepting applications Published May 20, 2011 By 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Kirtland Air Force Base, NM -- The Air Force Research Laboratory La Luz Academy is accepting applications for the science, technology, engineering and mathematics camp for base family students who will be in the fifth through seventh grade for the 2011-12 school year. Students will take part in hands-on, inquiry-based activities on STEM concepts related to a satellite mission. Camp dates are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 13-17. The camp is at the AFRL La Luz Academy, Building 1900, 1401 Maxwell SE. Students should plan to attend all five days and bring a sack lunch each day. To register, complete the information requested and return it by June 1. The information requested is: parent's name, mailing address, email address, home phone number, student name(s) and student(s) grade level for 2010-2011.
