Five named as Kirtland Wingmen

Five community leaders were inducted as Kirtland Wingman for their continued support of Kirtland AFB Airmen and their families.

In a ceremony held Aug. 17 at the Mountain View Club, Col. David Hornyak, 377th Air Base Wing vice commander, and Team Kirtland commanders from across the base, recognized five civic leaders.

The five leaders are:

Alex Romero, CEO/president, Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce

John Garcia, director, Albuquerque Economic Development

Terri Cole, president/CEO, Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce

Dave Seely, president, Kirtland Federal Credit Union

Sherman McCorkle, Sherman McCorkle, Kirtland Partnership Committee vice chair
 
2011 and chairman & CEO, Sandia Science and Technology Park Development Corp.

"Each and everyone of you has made huge contributions to the base and the support you have given our Airmen and their families is absolutely amazing," said Colonel Hornyak.

The Wingmen were presented a bombardier jacket with their name and command patch and their official photograph will hang in the wing headquarters building.
