377 MSG superintendent selected for command chief Published Oct. 17, 2011 By 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs KIRTLAND AFB, N.M. -- Chief Master Sgt. James Patrie, 377th Mission Support Group superintendent, has been selected to become the 49th Wing command chief at Holloman AFB, N.M. As the 49th Wing command chief, Patrie will serve as the senior enlisted advisor to the wing commander on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress for the more than 3,000 enlisted Airmen at Holloman AFB. The 49th Wing supports national security objectives by deploying worldwide to support peacetime and wartime contingencies. The wing provides combat-ready Airmen, F-22 Raptors, and trains MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper pilots and sensor operators. Patrie grew up in Woonsocket, R.I., and entered the Air Force in 1985. His background includes various leadership and knowledge operations management duties at the major command, field operating agency, wing and detachment levels. His assignments include Texas, Vermont, Virginia and New Mexico. The chief also served overseas in South Korea and Germany, and deployed to Southwest Asia in support of operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Before becoming the 377 MSG superintendent in 2009, he served as the Training and Inspections Directorate superintendent at the Air Force Inspection Agency, at Kirtland AFB.
