Members of the 377th Security Forces Squadron cleaned Sandia Base Elementary School Oct. 13, including parking lots, playgrounds and other areas.

"As a newly assigned commander, I was truly impressed by the enthusiasm and level of effort my defenders put forth on a short notice community support project at our local school," said Capt. Joseph Quinn, 377 SFS commander. "It's important we take time to enhance our installation."

This initiative, led by Master Sgt. Andy Moran, 377th SFS, provided the squadron's new Unit Advisory
Council the opportunity to develop as a team while promoting goodwill within the community, said Master Sgt. Bruce Mimms, 377 SFS first sergeant.

"The voluntary participation of more than 30 Airmen demonstrates pride, unit cohesion and the readiness to support the Kirtland Air Force Base community," said Moran.

"The men and women of the Security Forces Squadron understand the importance of a clean and safe environment," said Mimms. "It's important to ensure the safety and health of Team Kirtland's school age children."
