Seeking recycling volunteers for Summer Bash Published June 21, 2013 By 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs KIRTLAND AFB, N.M. -- The Kirtland AFB solid waste program manager will provide beverage container recycling services for Summer Bash at Hardin Field, and is looking for several volunteers to assist with the tasks below: Bin preparation: Two volunteers needed Thursday morning, June 27 (exact time TBD, so be flexible) Unbox and label 25 new Clear Stream recycling bins Set up: Five or more volunteers needed 9 a.m. Friday, June 28 Pick up approximately 50 bins at Building 621, transport to Hardin Field, set up bins and place them around the event site. Monitoring: Two or three volunteers needed 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 28 -- shift length flexible Walk the event to ensure that full bags are removed and replaced; and remove any obvious contamination. Breakdown: Seven or more volunteers needed 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 28 Collect full bags of recycling and transport to Commissary drop-off; collect bins and lids and return them to Building 621.
