Begay served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, from 1943-1946, in the 5th Marine Division Signal Company, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from 1947-1953, in the 7th Infantry Division. Opportunities to meet servicemembers like Begay, allow our Airmen and community members to understand the heritage and sacrifice of those who came before us.
