U.S. Strategic Command conducts Exercise Global Lightning

U.S. Strategic Command will commence Exercise Global Lightning 21 next week, an annual battle staff exercise designed to train Department of Defense forces and assess joint operational readiness across all USSTRATCOM mission areas.

Exercise Global Lightning is an invaluable training opportunity that exercises all USSTRATCOM mission areas to enhance readiness and creates the conditions for effective strategic deterrence against a variety of threats. This year’s exercise will provide training opportunities for USSTRATCOM headquarters staff and its components to integrate and synchronize efforts with U.S. European Command headquarters and its component commands, and U.S. Space Command.
