Senior Airman Maria Guerrero, 377th Security Support Squadron supply technician, receives the May Diamond Sharp Award from Master Sgt. Matthew Gruber, 377th Security Forces Squadron first sergeant, at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., June 7. Guerrero works in the high ops tempo Security Forces Group warehouse, which outfits more than 650 defenders at Kirtland. She led the OCP uniform change for the SFG, by overseeing the issuance and outfitting of the SFG with more than $2 million of uniforms and equipment. According to Gruber, Guerrero’s execution throughout the transition was flawless, and she not only faced the challenge head-on, but exceled in her duties despite the hardship of doing the job of two Airmen. Guerrero also led a group of Airmen in giving back to the Kirtland enlisted spouse community, providing set up, tear down, and logistical efforts to ensure the 377th Air Base Wing’s enlisted spouse appreciation event was a huge success.
