AFRL Inspire 2017 open to all Kirtland members

The third annual AFRL Inspire will be hosted this year in Albuquerque at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on Wednesday, October 11, beginning at 1 p.m.

AFRL Inspire 2017 is a celebration of the people of the Air Force Research Laboratory and the technologies they develop for the Air Force and the world- Researchers who have made important discoveries and scientific breakthroughs, solved complex technical challenges and impacted the success and safety of our warfighters.

In the past, AFRL Inspire was open to AFRL personnel only, but this year this seminal event will be open to Kirtland members and community partners and friends to partake in a truly Inspiring atmosphere! Invitees will include community and state leaders; academia and STEM students; members of industry; and colleagues from Sandia and Los Alamos National Labs, and Kirtland mission partners.

This year's "The Heart of the Science" platform will feature six powerful speakers with exciting subjects, including AFRL’s Dr. Dennis Montera from the Starfire Optical Range facility. Also included will be a special message from New Mexico native and new Secretary of the Air Force, The Honorable Heather Wilson, via video. A Tech Expo beforehand and a post-event social will round out the day’s activities.
