Health benefits open season begins Nov. 8

Kirtland Air Force Base -- Federal employee health benefits open season runs from Nov. 8 through Dec. 13. Open Season elections go into effect Jan. 2.
The annual FEHB Fair will be Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Consolidated Support Building, Room 120.
Health representatives will answer questions and discuss changes for 2011. Brochures will also be available. The civilian personnel section will no longer maintain brochures in-house.
The new cost comparisons for 2011 are available at www.opm.gov/insure/health/rates/index.asp, www.opm.gov/insure/dental/rates/index.asp, and www.opm.gov/insure/vision/rates/index.asp.
All federal civil service employees are authorized to attend the fair during duty hours, but they are required to request excusal from their supervisors.
Air Force civilian employees must enroll or make changes to their health insurance benefits electronically through the Employee Benefits Information System web application at the Air Force Personnel Center secure website.
