U.S. Air Force Capt. Rudolph McIntyre IV, assumed command of the 377th Security Support Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony July 23, 2019, at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.

The presiding officer, Col. Theodore Breuker, 377th Security Forces Group commander, conducted the assumption of command at the 377th Wing Presentation Room.

“Rudy is the right person for this job,” said Breuker. “He understands what security forces operations are in a variety of environments and he understands what the operations are [at Kirtland]. He understands what support they need.”

McIntyre comes from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, where he was the antiterrorism officer for the 52nd Fighter Wing.

After assuming command, McIntyre spoke on the excellent work that his Airmen do day-to-day.

“To the fine men and women of the 377th Security Support Squadron, you are truly the best and you carry with you an outstanding reputation,” said McIntyre. “From what I’ve been able to see so far, each of you is proud of what you do and it shows. I look forward to unrelenting greatness and serving side by side with each and every one of you.”
