Flu Shots

A flu shot line will take place at the theater on Nov. 8 from noon to 4 p.m. This event is open to all active duty members. All that is required is to provide your CAC to the medical team for immunizations record documentation and updating purposes. Holiday gate schedule

Installation gate hours will remain unchanged for the Veterans Day holiday.

Road Construction near G Ave and Pennsylvania Ave

Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 13, construction to repair underground water valves on G Ave near the intersection of Pennsylvania will reduce useable traffic lanes.  The repair is expected to take approximately one week.  Please plan ahead to avoid any delays.

Summary Courts Officer notice for SSgt Darian Bolles

Combat Trafficking in Persons (CTIP)

CTIP is the second largest criminal activity in the world. It is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons by means of threat, use of force, coercion, abduction, fraud deception, abuse or exploitation. Airmen should report any suspicious behavior that may indicate CTIP activities to their chain of command, Security Forces, AFOSI, or the IG. Kirtland Chapel: Family Night

Catholic Mass

Chaplain (Capt.) Bedemore Udechukwu, will help hold catholic mass every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., Saturday at 5 p.m., and Sunday at 9 a.m.

Requesting Honor Guard services

Requests for color guard ceremonies must be made at least seven days prior to the ceremony. Multiple requests made for the same day and time will honor a “first requested, first served rule,” except in the case of military funeral honors which take precedent over all other requests. Food Pantry

Eligible service members including active duty, National Guard, Reserves, retirees, DoD civilians, and their family members can go to the food pantry in time of financial hardship for the grocery necessities at no cost to them. The pantry is open from 7:15 a.m. until 4 p.m., and is located in the Consolidated Support Facility, Ste. 126.

Veterans Day events

A Veterans Day Ceremony featuring Team Kirtland in cooperation with the New Mexico Veterans Memorial, City of Albuquerque and United Veterans takes place at 11 a.m., at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial. The memorial, located adjacent to Kirtland just north of the intersections of Louisiana and Gibson, will feature a remembrance ceremony and rededication of the restored monument recently vandalized. Before the ceremony, beginning at 9:30 a.m., a Veterans Day Parade will traverse Gibson Blvd from the VA Hospital to the memorial.

Newcomers’ Welcome Orientation

The Airman & Family Readiness Flight is hosting an event at the Mountain View Club from 7:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for military and civilian personnel new to Kirtland. Briefers include base leadership, SARC, JA and several more. The event will conclude with a bus tour of the base followed by an information fair. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Wolf Creek ski trip weekend adventure

Outdoor Recreation is hosting a 3-day trip departing ODR at 2 p.m. on Friday and returning at 8 p.m. on Sunday. The price is $250 for R4R tickets and $485 for regular tickets. R4R pricing is for active duty, reservists and their families. Price includes transportation, gear rentals, lift tickets, refreshments, lodging and one meal. There are 14 spaces available. Discover Scuba

Outdoor Recreation is hosting a class from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the indoor pool. The price is $15 for R4R tickets and $31 for regular tickets. R4R pricing is for active duty, reservists and their families. Price includes instruction, scuba gear and private pool time. Kayak Roll Clinic

Outdoor Recreation is hosting a clinic from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the indoor pool. The price is $7 per person and includes pool time only, or $15 per person and includes kayak gear rental, paddle and instruction. Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to attend. Youth Mental Health First Aid

There will be a free class from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Room 110 of the Education Center. The entire program must be attended to receive a certificate. Participants should bring their own lunches. SPORTS AND FITNESS CALENDAR:

Ongoing fitness classes at the East Fitness Center in November

All Terrain

This class formats all terrains, to include team drills and visualization rides, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. Tuesdays, and 11 a.m. to noon Thursdays.

Power Ride

Higher resistance training to improve strength, stamina and power, 11 a.m. to Noon Tuesdays and 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. Thursdays.

Basic Training

A 60-minute functional total body workout this class will incorporate cardiovascular, strength, endurance, balance, push-ups, core, speed and agility, as well as partner drills. Instructors will push to optimum fitness potential. Classes run from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 3 to 4 p.m. Thursdays.

Muscle Hour

Integrate balance with strength while using the barbells, heavy bars, and dumbbells to sculpt. BOSU and fit balls may be incorporated from time to time. All fitness levels.
Class runs from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.

Zumba® and Strong by Zumba®

Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance and tone program that runs from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. each Wednesday. Strong by Zumba combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio, and plyometric training moves synced to original music and runs from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays.

Yoga Stretch and Strengthening

A level-1 class combining traditional yoga postures with deep stretching, breathing exercises, and meditation. Great for beginners and the more physically fit, resulting in increased flexibility, strength and stress reduction, running from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays.

Yogalates

Combines the muscle sculpting, core firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. This fat-burning, low-impact workout is designed for all levels and runs from 5 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday.

Air Force Reserves

The 377th Force Support Squadron In-Service Recruiting Office provides Palace Front and Palace Chase briefings twice a month at 9 a.m. every second and last Wednesday at the Consolidated Support Building inside the FTAC training Rm. 111. RAPIDS Appointment Scheduler

Skip the long wait for an ID card by scheduling for an ID appointment on the RAPIDS Appointment Scheduler. This is a self-service function that allows members to book their own appointment and can be accessed 24/7. Also, if scheduling an appointment and the DEERS network goes down, people will receive a call from the 377th Military Personnel Section customer support staff. In addition to making an appointment, the RAPIDS Appointment Scheduler answers some of the most commonly asked questions to ensure people are prepared for appointments.
