AFRL’s Maui site lowers barriers to high performance computing

1st Lieutenant Peter Thomas conducts Machine Learning research in support of AFRL’s Air Force Maui and Supercomputing site. He is one of a team of AFRL researchers applying deep learning research to improve identification of on-orbit satellites. This work has benefited tremendously from Maui High Performance Computing Center’s machine learning processing capabilities and is one of many Air Force teams benefiting from advances in SW container technology to deploy and update software more quickly.
