 
Combat Rescue Officer/Pararescue School Opens new training center
Maj. Gen. Mary Kay Hertog, 2nd Air Force commander, second from fright, presided at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 13 for the new $14.7 million Guardian Angel Rescue/Recovery Training Center at Kirtland AFB. The 32,000-square-foot building will house training operations for Combat Rescue Officers and Pararescue instructors and students at the 342nd Training Squadron, Detachment 1. A separate 25,353-square-foot logistics facility will store training gear and supplies valued at $10 million.
