Mission
The 377th Medical Group provides daily operational medical support to the 377th Air Base Wing and over 100 associate organizations. Additionally, the group provides primary health care to patients enrolled in TRICARE Prime and assigned to Kirtland AFB clinic, and temporary duty personnel. The clinic provides primary and specialty care on a space-available basis to other eligible beneficiaries.
The facility works in a spirit of cooperation with the New Mexico Veteran Affairs Health Care System, and operates under a program called Joint Venture. To utilize Joint Venture services you must be an active duty member or a TRICARE Prime enrollee specifically assigned to a primary care manager at the 377th Medical Group Clinic.
TRICARE Standard and TRICARE Prime retirees and dependents enrolled or assigned to a civilian primary care manager or another military facility are not necessarily authorized treatment at the Albuquerque VA Hospital and may be billed for any services incurred.
To access all medical clinics, including primary care or urgent care appointments, call 846-3200. Remain on the line as your call is answered in the priority order it is received.
This system is menu driven, so select the appropriate option from the ones you are given. Hours of operation for the clinic are 7 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. The clinic is closed on the third Thursday of every month for training. Other closures include holidays and days (usually Friday before holidays) declared as a down day for the 377th Air Base Wing.
Mental Health
Mental health appointments may be scheduled by calling 846-3305. If you cannot keep an appointment, call Central Appointments as soon as possible. Same day cancellations need to be made by calling the clinic directly.
Dental Clinic
The Dental Clinic is located in a separate building adjacent to the main Medical Facility. The 377th Dental Squadron provides a wide range of routine dental services including comprehensive dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. For acute dental problems, eligible beneficiaries should can the dental clinic for an evaluation appointment. You can contact the clinic during business hours at 846-3029 for after-hours, weekend and holiday emergencies, call 846-3200.
Active duty periodic dental exams are scheduled through unit monitors. Family member dental care should be arranged by the sponsor and at the sponsor's expense through the TRICARE Dental Plan. TRICARE
TRICARE is a health care program for members of the uniformed services and their families and survivors, and retirees and their family members. TRICARE brings together the health care resources of each military treatment facility and supplements the facility with networks of civilian health care professionals to provide better access and high quality service while maintaining the capability to support military operations.
TRICARE offers three program options:
· TRICARE Prime (you must elect to enroll in this option),
· TRICARE Extra, and
· TRICARE Standard.
