Arts and Crafts
The Arts and Crafts Center, Building 20206, is on the southeast corner of F Avenue and Wyoming Boulevard. The center offers many services and activities, including a full service custom frame shop, and a plaque and award shop.

The center offers numerous classes in fine arts and crafts. Annual events include the Air Force Artist and Craftsman' s Contest, the Air Force Photography Contest and the Holiday Seasons Greeting Card Contest.

Auto Hobby Shop
The Auto Hobby Shop located on Texas Street, Building 20375, has 16 stalls available for customer use. Seven of the stalls have lifts where patrons can do major and minor repairs to their automobiles. The shop employs mechanics ready to assist you with your car repair as well as a minor repair service for DOD civilians not authorized to use the AAFES Auto Pride facilities.

FamCamp
FamCamp is located in Building 24250, near the Eubank Gate.

Weekend and after hours a camp host is available.
Self-check in is available when office is closed.

FamCamp services include restrooms, showers, washroom, dog walk area, picnic sites, dump station, full time staff and after hours host.

Electric only hook-up, $11 a day
Dry Campsite, $6 a day

Family Child care
Family Child Care homes have openings for children of all ages. The program is available to all individuals with base access. Referral lists are available at the FCC office, the Child Development Centers, the Youth Center, the Housing Office and the Library.

The FCC is located at Texas and M Streets on the east side of Kirtland AFB in Bldg. 20415. The office offers New Provider Orientations quarterly or more often if needed. For further information, call the FCC Office at 846-1802 or 853-5510.

Flight Center
The Kirtland AFB Flight Center is a full service recreational and flight training activity offering a complete line of professional aviation courses, FAA written test facilities, pilot supplies, and economical aircraft rentals. KFC offers private pilot ground school, instrument pilot ground school, commercial pilot, flight instructor, introductory flight training program, and certified flight instructor and air transport pilot courses.

Frame Shop
The Frame Shop offers custom matting and framing. Our computerized mat cutter offers a variety of cut styles to custom fit most items. We have over a hundred frames to choose from along with a variety of mats to make your work a treasured piece for many years to come.

Honor Guard
The Honor Guard Team gives you a chance to meet a whole new group of people from many different career fields. The team represents a wide range of ranks, primarily from airman to technical sergeant and second lieutenant to captain.

Information, Tickets and Travel
ITT is in the Consolidated Support Facility and offers great values on tickets to local and national amusement parks, sporting events, and attractions.

ITT offers tickets to local area sporting events such as select University of New Mexico Lobos football and basketball games, and Isotopes minor-league baseball. ITT also sells tickets to major theme parks, offers Enchantment Dollars®, tickets to the World's Longest Tram, and many discounts for hotels in various cities.

This office offers a self service computer information station for accessing Web sites to meet all your leisure travel information needs to include airline reservations, cruises, and other services you may need for a vacation package.

Kirtland Inn (Lodging)
Kirtland Inn has more than 50 buildings on the east and west side of the installation. Visiting Airmen Quarters, Visiting Officer Quarters, and Temporary Living Facilities are all available. Library
Anyone can use the Library who has access to the base. This includes Sandia National Laboratories employees, Department of Energy employees, and base contractors.

Plaque and Award Shop
The Plaque and Award Shop offers state of the art laser engraving. We offer a variety of custom designs to make your plaque or award special. Shadow boxes, pen cases, name plates, wood and acrylic plaques are just a handful of items we sell with optional custom engraving.

Tijeras Arroyo Golf Course
Tijeras Arroyo Golf Course is located on Pennsylvania Avenue on the east side of Kirtland AFB. Located in the shadows of the Manzano Mountains, it has natural picturesque beauty. The course opened in 1971 and has hosted the Air Force Materiel Command Golf Championships. It is a championship 18 hole course. The course serves as an outstanding military recreational facility as exemplified by Best in AFMC in 2001.

The course boasts a fine reputation for excellence in customer service, pro quality products and a thorough and knowledgeable staff. There is a full service grill that is open for breakfast and lunch and has banquet facilities to complement your golf tournament, squadron lunch outing or evening get together.

The course is 6,971 yards from the championship tees with a course rating of 71.9/slope 127 and a challenging 5,889 yards from the forward tees with the course rating of 73.5/slope 129.

The course has four sets of USGA rated tees and orange tees for juniors or those just getting started in golf. Greens are bent grass and beautiful to putt.

There is a grass driving range (not found at every course), chipping and two putting greens.

The clubhouse has indoor seating for 150 and the patio can hold the overflow. The pro shop carries several lines of clubs, balls, shoes and clothing all reasonably priced. If it isn't there it can be special ordered.

There is rental equipment available as well as electric carts and lockers in the men's and ladies locker rooms.

Tee Times
Active duty military may make tee times three days in advance all others two days in advance. Tee times for weekends and holidays are done by lottery drawing on Wednesday morning. Put your request in by close of business on Tuesday evening. Call Wednesday after 9 a.m. and you will be told of your tee time. Walk-ins are available.

Prices
E-1--E-4 $10.75; E-5 and above and all authorized user civilians, contractors $17; Seniors over 60 $14 and juniors 17 and under $6 to walk. A cart is $10 per rider.

Twilight rates begin at 3 p.m. Rates are E-1--E-4 $18; E-5 and up, seniors, all authorized user civilians are $18. These prices include a cart.

Civilian guests are $25 and $20.

Tournaments and leagues
Tournaments may be set up by calling the tournament coordinator at 505-846-1169. You will be assisted with setting up the date and you will get our tournament package to help you in deciding which tournament package you want. They are available in several price ranges.

If you want to set up recurring league play call for all the details.

Bogey Grill
If food service after the tournament is needed or if you want to hold a working luncheon or an evening social event, call 505-846-7835 and we can discuss menu options with you. We can tailor it to fit your needs. The setting is beautiful for any organized event.

There is a different special in the snack bar everyday. Mongolian BBQ on Wednesday is especially exciting. Each item is prepared as it is ordered, so it comes to you hot and freshly made.

TAGA
TAGA is the men's golf association, but women can belong, too. One Saturday morning each month they hold an organized tournament. It is great fun and a good way to meet new golfers. By joining this association you gain access to the Sun Country Golf Association handicap system.

TAWGA
TAWGA is the women's golf association and they get together each Thursday morning and hold their event. They are always looking for new members and if you are interested come to the golf course by 7:30 a.m. on Thursday and join the women.

Junior golfers
Each summer there is a camp for junior golfers. This year there were 16 youngsters that took part. Each received a certificate of completion in the Golf 4 Kids program and they had a great time.

Veterinary services
The U.S. Army operates a veterinary services clinic in building 20168 on Pennsylvania Avenue. The veterinary clinic provides outpatient care for privately owned animals of active duty military and retired military. Services offered include vaccinations, de-worming, and heartworm testing, as well as radiography, blood analysis and other various outpatient diagnostics. Call for an appointment at 846-4276.

Youth center
The staff of the Youth Center welcomes your family to the Kirtland AFB Youth Programs. Their goal is to provide quality care for your children and to provide quality customer service to parents. A schedule of activities is planned daily to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child.

In addition to before and after school care, we offer programs during the holidays and on teacher in-service days from 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included on full days. The program offers a simulating, multicultural curriculum filled with a variety of fun activities and field trips.

Supervisor's and training staff hold degrees or credentials in early childhood education, child development or related area.
