Brigadier General WILLIAM A. ROCK

Brig. Gen. William A. "Alan" Rock is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander of Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. He directs the Air Force's nuclear modernization, acquisition and sustainment programs with about 1,800 personnel at 18 locations worldwide. The center is responsible for the life-cycle management of nuclear weapons systems supporting two legs of the nation's nuclear triad, including intercontinental ballistic missiles; air-launched cruise missiles; gravity bombs; and nuclear command-and-control communications.

Prior to assuming his current position, Brig. Gen. Rock served as the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Director of Logistics, Civil Engineering, Force Protection and Nuclear Integration, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Brig. Gen. Rock enlisted in the military in 1983 and was commissioned through the Air Force Reserve Command Deserving Airman Program in 1993. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance.
